Important Note:

AUHS are not currently accepting new applications from members wishing to Train as Minister.  Application Criteria and Minister Course is currently being extensively revised and updated.  Churches / Groups wishing to put forward a member for Minister Training must wait until further notice.

The aim of the AUHS is to have one Minister per Church (A maximum of two).  However it is also felt that if a church requires more than one Minister they can put forward an applicant for "Lay Officer" providing their is a vacancy within their church for a further Minister and this has been voted on and minuted at their church committee meeting.

Members accepted for Minister Training will take on the title of Lay Officer until their Ordination. Lay Officers” have no authority to take services on behalf of AUHS until they are “Ordained Ministers”.  A Lay Officer has no authority within the Church / Group and no responsibilities they must not wear clerical dress.

NOTE:-

It is illigal for Ministers Ordained through AUHS to continue in the capacity of Minister whilst quoting AUHS as their backer if they are no longer members of AUHS.

(A separate CRD is required for each position where a CRD is mandatory)

In addition to other fees an additional administration charge is payable before references are followed up by the vice president.

Ministers and "Trainee Ministers" may be taken into confidence whilst councelling individuals enduring difficult times in their lives. It is all the more important to respect and preserve the heart felt privicy and dignity of such matters. It is a vital and compassionate part of any public servants job to protect the dignity of their parishioners and integrity of their church/group together with the reputation of caring support within AUHS.

Ministers must therefore be wiling to take on the often heavy personal responsibilities that this position imposes and be willing to travel and support their congregation and community with a true and honest heart.

It is to be remembered that this is a highly respected position within the law and within human and social psyche which carries a good deal of trust within the community and therefore a high degree of personal responsibility for the Minister acting as Ambassador both for Spirit and for AUHS.

It is not a position to be taken lightly but a very rewarding one to have a calling for.
